The Nerve of That Woman

March 10, 2008

Yesterday’s news cycle was dominated by Bill and Hillary Clinton’s suggestions that they are open to a Clinton/Obama general election ticket. Oh, really? You mean you wouldn’t be opposed to making the man with the most delegates and states won, and overall popular vote leader part of your ticket?? How conciliatory and gracious. I guess after suggesting only her and John McCain were qualified to be president, she should now be commended.

Hillary has repeated the suggestion twice in the last week and then yesterday Bill Clinton made a nice case about how it would be ideal for her and Obama. Sure it would. Obama would help her grab all the enthusiastic young people who have never voted before, the Republicans switching sides for the first time, the affluent liberals who don’t seem to care for the Clintons, and all the independents. And then she’d take care of all the people who are going to vote Democrat no matter what. What a deal! Why hasn’t Obama dropped out yet?

Obama was forced to deny that he had interest in Vice President. Considering his insurmountable delegate lead, shouldn’t Hillary be the one fielding those VP questions?

UPDATE: Apparently both Barack Obama and supporter former Senator Tom Daschle either read this blog or came to the same conclusion separately earlier this afternoon.
