LeRoi Moore, founding member of the Dave Matthews Band, master of seemingly every woodwind instrument in modern music, virtual inventor of jazz/rock/jam fusion, is dead at age 46.

Wow dude…I can’t believe it. So many great people are passing away now. That man was such an amazing musician.
i am speaking for everyone , that he was the best saxophonist player around, and we missed him in louisville. To his family and friends you guys are in our hearts and prayers and to stay strong because we will for you. If you ever get sad remember there are thousands of people that love you guys and want you guys to “JAM ON ” I know he has touch my sons heart, ever since i bought the first cd he decided he wanted to play the sax so i bought him a sax and i love hearing him play. you will be missed but we will hear you play again soon. a sincere fan steph f.
